Founded in 2012, the A.S.O is a young orchestra which is hard to develop and to build brand awareness. We work under the direction of Peter Veenhuizen, performing a varied repertoire as well as leading diverse projects.

Thanks to the activities that we organise, (notably the King’s ride, the Amsterdam Festival of Light, the Jacques Brel programme..etc) we differentiate ourselves from other student orchestras. Besides the pleasure of playing together, we try our best to gain and strengthen cultural awareness within the orchestra.

In order to keep this up, we are looking for people who would be willing to support us financially. Being grateful for your one-off or half-yearly gift, we would like to engage you in the activities of our orchestra. The latter meaning that we will make sure to keep you informed of the different activities we lead throughout the year and receive invitations to our concerts. Of course as a Friend of the A.S.O, you will benefit from a discount on the entrance fee.
